Two Combos

After the craziness of this week I wanted to catch up on some challenges for I’ve done some combos. ICS has a new DT this week so go check out the work of those talented ladies! Here’s my take on this week’s sketch. I also used the Card-a-licious challenge of pink, brown, and scallops on this card. The papers used are DCWV Rock Queen Stack and those stamps are from Making Memories. And since these papers are from Rock Queen plus the saying I think it work for the Corrosive Challenge Blog challenge this week to use a rock music theme. Corrosive Challenges is a relatively new challenge blog with lots of fun varied challenges. Defintely worth checking out.

This is the LO I did for Vintage Plum’s Star Search Fussy Cuts challenge but also for Use Your Stash Glitter challenge. Since I love to use Stickles on just about anything that challenge was a no brainer for me. Vintage Plum is a great kit company that holds lots of challenge and has fun tutorials so you should definitely check them out.

Card-a-licious 20 and Pink Elephant Mom Challenge

Here’s my card for the Pink Elephant’s make something for mom challenge. I will be selling cards at a craft show with my friend this week, she’ll be selling jewelery, and I thought that having a few Mom cards might not be a bad idea since Mother’s Day is only two weeks away. I used mostly handmade paper for this card because I was thinking of my mom while I made it and she loves pink and bling so these papers were perfect. The Pink Elephant also has a recycling challenge this week which I’m still working on but will be sharing soon.

This second card is for the Card-a-licious challenge which was to make a birthday card using blue, green and circles. I used the new papers I won from last month’s Scrapjazz LO challenge. Card-a-licious is offering up a prize this week so you should certainly consider joining them this week if you havent’ yet.

ICS and CardALicious

Here’s the card I made for the Card*A*Licious challenge and ICS sketch #6. The Card*A*Licious challenge was to use red, black, letter stickers and bling. I used my brand new We R Memory Keepers papers that I bought with the Micheal’s gift card I won. I also used the Adorn-It letter stickers I won several years ago and for the bling I used some Stickles and gemstones. The ICS sketch was simple and fun this week. Sometimes their sketches throw me for a loop but this one I knew right away what I wanted to do.

This adroable bag is the Jillie Willie bag I won awhile ago from Melissa. It’s so cute and I’ve already started filling it. Thanks Melissa! She’s running another challenge but this time its for a Jillie Willie apron which is just as cute as this bag. I plan to use the bag to store some supplies that I can bring home on weekends so I can do some cardmaking then. Lastly, here is a layout I finished recetly about our trip to Seaworld this summer.

Card Patterns and Card*A*Licious

For this card I combined the challenge at Card*A*Licious and the sketch for a new sketch site I found, Card Patterns. Card Patterns has posted some fun sketches and super-cute DT creations so far. They also have a guest DT each week so I’m looking foward to being introduced to lots of fresh talent. The challenge at Card*A*Licious was simple this week: a friend card with ribbon and green. I love green and ribbon and friends always enjoy a card. I particularly loved Janelle’s take on the challenge this week. This card was made with BG Boxer, a Prima flower, Michael’s ribbon and bling, a Making Memories sticker and some odds and ends from my stash.
Right now I’m waiting anxiously to pick housing for next year. I’m hoping to get a single again but there is very few spots and lots of people who want them but I’m also looking into applying for an in-house mentoring posistion that comes with pay and an awesome single room.

Card-A-Licious 13 and CPS 102

For this card I combined the Card-A-Licious challenge and CPS sketch. CPS is having some amazing sponsors during their anniversary celebration who are certainly worth checking out. I love the cute Starving Artistamp’s they featured today. The Card-A-Licious challenge was exactly that this week. It had to be a thank you card with stitching, felt and the color pink. Stitching was easy but I didn’t have much felt except that bright yellow felt rickrack. I used the We Are Memory Keepers White Out collection again. Today was beautiful in NJ! 60 degree weather! I really enjoyed walking to yoga and class in the sunshine.

CPS and Cardalicious

I made this card with CPS 101 and the Card*A*Licious challenge. The Card*a*Licious challenge was to use three different PPs and orange letter stickers. But I didn’t have any orange letter stickers so I inked white ones to orange. CPS 101 was simple yet really fun. I sometimes really enjoy blankness on cards to let the patterned paper show. Tonight I worked on another card for the new Caardvarks challenge (hearts) which was quite easy to do.

Card-A-Licious 11

I created this card for the Card-A-Licious 11 challenge. The tree top was inspired by Lea Lawson’s Thanks card which included a treetop made completely of sequins. I used the Basic Grey Mellow collection because it was perfect for the orange and green part of the challenge. Then I used a Making Memories stamp to create a journaling tag. I’ve been trying to get some crafting and homework done but I’ve been feeling tired and a bit under the weather. I suppose its better to be sick at the beginning of the semester.

Cardalicious and 2S4Y

For this card I combined the challenge at Card-A-Licious (which was to make a “for you” card using green and letter stickers) and the sketch at 2S4Y. I’ve really enjoyed working with the SEI papers that Scrappy Jo sent me for the DT in January so I found myself reaching for them again. I love how others interpretted the sketch with an exposed inside and so I used the same idea. It’s been freezing here in New Jersey so it’s nice to stay inside with my craft supplies.
