Paper Piecing an Ocean Scene with Lawn Fawn for Butterfly Reflections Ink

Hello crafty friends! Today I have a card featuring Lawn Fawn’s Fintastic Friends stamp set and dies with some of their paper pads. I’m sharing the video on the Butterfly Reflections Ink channel so if you watch the video from the blog be sure to click over to YouTube to subscribe.
I stamped the adorable fish, coral and rocks onto some scraps from the Let’s Polka and Pint Sized Patterns Beachside pads. I used the Stitched Rectangles and Ocean Wave borders to create the ocean background.

For some added definition to the die cut elements I went around the stamped outlines with Copic Markers. This helped tone down patterns on the outside and focus in on the image. I love that Lawn Fawn’s Fintastic Friends is great for summer but can be used all year long. I can totally see some gender neutral valentines with that cute pun this February.

Sending Warm Hugs

Hello crafty friends! Today I am sharing a card made with WPlus9 Winter Pals stamps and dies. As soon as I saw these, they were on my must have list and I knew to go to Vanessa at Butterfly Reflections Ink for the latest and greatest so these cuties were in my hands with in a couple of days of the release. Gotta love the fast shipping at BRI! Check out my video for more on how I made this card.
I created the sky with the beautifully detailed Memory Box Tiny Snowflakes stencil and some embossing paste. I added little touches with some foam tapeperfect pearls and glossy accents. With such cute images it is easy to create an adorable scene card. If you love these little cuties you can pick up a last minute holiday present for yourself at the shop.

This is my last post as a design team member. I absolutely loved working with Vanessa and sharing inspiration with all of you.

Peace on Earth

Hello crafty friends! Today I have a card that features the amazing Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflakes and Neat and Tangled’s Winter Trees. Check out my video for more on how I combined some simple die cutting and heat embossing for this tone on tone winter card.
I think this card would be awesome in any color and you could customize it for anyone on your list based on their favorite color. White embossing powder would work for most colors but the Butterfly Reflections Ink store has many to choose from.

Masculine Merry Christmas

Hello crafty friends! Today I have what I hope can be a masculine Christmas card. Let me know if you agree in the comments. The WPlus9 Handlettered Holiday Dies are quickly becoming a go to set for me. I love that merry die but this time I am combining it with the stunning WPlus9 Stag Trio dies. You can watch the video for more on my process.
With masculine card I like to keep it simple so I combined the WPlus9 Handlettered Holiday Dies with the coordinating stamp set because the font is very classic. For the gold embossing of the stamps and around the edges of the matter I used the Ranger Fine Detail Gold. I am very impressed with the quality of thin lines with the powder.

I combined gold, black and kraft for a simple color scheme masculine color scheme. I love kraft at Christmas time.  To get a polished clean look I used Multi Medium Matte as the adhesive on my die cuts.

Wishing You Love

Hello crafty friends. I have a unique Christmas card and video featuring some new additions of the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop. You can watch the video for more on my process.
My starting inspiration was the deer from Paper Smooches A Holy Holiday. I waned to create a different look from the last time I used the image. So this time I used Distress Inks to stamp the deer with an ombre water color effect.
I wanted to create a bold snowy background using the Memory Box Winter Tiny Snowflakes. I used some embossing paste and glitter embossing powder to make the snowflakes. For the sentiment I used the same Paper Smooches A Holy Holiday stamp set . I love how you can mix the bold words with the smaller sentiments to customize your greeting. Check out all the great Christmas products in the shop and get started with your own holiday projects!

Merry Christmas

Hello crafty friends. I have a simple Christmas card and video featuring some new additions of the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop. You can watch the video for more on my process.
My starting inspiration was the deer from Paper Smooches A Holy Holiday. I thought it would look great as a silhouette with a snowy background using the Memory Box Winter Tiny Snowflakes. I used some Hero Arts Unicorn White ink to make the snowflakes.

For the sentiment I wanted to use this bold sentiment set and dies from WPlus9. I love word dies and this one is so pretty and elegant for the Christmas season. You could of course just get the stamp set but I like the versatility of the dies and they are a great price. For gluing down the dies I recommend Multi Medium Matte from Ranger as it does not leave any residue if it leaks out from under the sentiment.

Make A Wish

I’ve loved these Storybook stamps from Avery Elle for a long time and I love how they pair so perfectly with this Sun Ray Stencil from My Favorite Things. I used this stencil in a similar way last week this time I decided to skip the vellum to create a brighter card. For cardstock panel I used the Stitched Rectangle Stackables from Lawn Fawn. These dies add just the right detail and I am addicted to using them. I also used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders to create the hill. I love all the little extras in the set that help set the scene such as the grass and butterflies. With so many clearance items currently in the shop you can score some new favorites and great deals to reach the $60 free shipping threshold.
